Abstract

The simultaneously drab and brutal iconography prescribed by the regulators charged with implementing tobacco Plain Packaging legislation is eerily reminiscent of the look and feel of Soviet era people's housing. Like the housing, the plain packaging now prescribed displays an almost pathological animosity and contempt for the end-user in whose best interests the regulators purport to act.
