n Without Prejudice - Substituting medicines : beware : medical law

Abstract

In terms of s22F of the Medicines and Related Substances Act (101 of 1965), a legal duty is placed on a registered pharmacist or a person licensed to dispense medicines in terms of s22C (collectively referred to as the dispenser) to substitute medicines on a prescription by cheaper generic medicines.
