The European Union recently revealed plans to allow wine producers to make Rosé wines by mixing red and white wine together. Though some may well think that this is exactly how Rosé is being made, the "better" Rosé wines are (usually) made by leaving crushed grapes to soak with macerating white grapes; not by simply blending red and white wine.
