Abstract

Gone are the days when the South African legal fraternity prohibited firms from any form of advertising. Rules allowing an attorney to paint the name of the firm on the windows, no bigger than a height of 10cm, were as far as it went. This self-regulated fraternity was obliged to go about its business in marketing silence.
