Abstract

Pharmacological agents indicated for ulcer disease include antacids, H,2 receptor antagonists, a mucosal defence-enhancing agent, an acid pump inhibitor, and a prostaglandin. Moreover, considering the association between ulcer disease and Helicobacter pylori, antimicrobial therapy may also be appropriate.
