Numerous cutaneous disorders affect the mils of the fingers and toes, among them psoriasis, fungal infections, paronychia, and benign and malignant tumours. Most can be diagnosed by physical examination and simple laboratory tests, such as potassium hydroxide wet mount and bacterial culture.
