Two years ago, the Animal Feed Manufacturers’ Association (AFMA) Feed Registration Service (FRS) was launched as a public-private partnership (PPP) between AFMA and the Directorate Agriculture Inputs Control (DAIC) of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) with the aim to improve the service delivery of farm feed registrations. At the time, Act 36 feed registration statistics did not look promising and companies had been awaiting product registrations for more than a year.
