Abstract

When taking decisions, the decisive factors that usually determine which facts we consider and how we interpret them, are objectivity and perspective. I usually base my planning on the information at my disposal and this in turn is mostly determined by my field of experience, expertise and my perspective on the matter at hand. Another person with a different frame of reference would probably come to a different conclusion on the same issue, because he views it from his perspective. Lately there has been a wide range of occasionally conflicting views and opinions regarding the difference in profitability (or lack thereof) between intensive and extensive farming systems. In my view, no opinion is truly wrong and the issue is merely being viewed from different perspectives.
