Objective: to assess handwashing and barrier practices among Cameroonian dental professionals. Materials and Methods: A Questionnaire-based cross-sectional study of Cameroon dental professionals was conducted in the second half of 2009.

Objective: To determine the prevalance of self medication with antibiotics among Nigerian dental students. Material and methods: A descriptionptive cross-sectional survey of 200 dental students of University of Benin, Nigeria was performed between April and June 2009.
Rationale: In Tanzania Dental Auxiliarues are used as dental chair-side assistants without formal training. This way of recruiting dental health personnel has an inherent weakness that may adversely affect infection control in dental practice.
