Abstract

A large number of dignitaries from the United Nations and the United States were craning forward to see Arthur Chaskalson and Pius Langa. Arthur spoke first. Graciously and sonorously, he said very little about himself and a lot about Pius. Then Pius came to the podium. We awaited a typically correct and worthy UN-type oration. Pius opened: 'Twinkle, twinkle little star.'
