Abstract

There is an aspect of Professor Kahn's life that tends to escape emphasis in eulogy. The magnitude of his contribution to our law is so manifest, the high quality of his scholarship so obvious, his boundless capacity, as an editor, for enduring drudgery is so well known, his exacting pursuit of precision so evident, his idiosyncrasies so endearing, his friendship so staunch, that something of importance about him may easily be glossed over. I mean the unstinted time and energy which he expended in his materially unrewarding service to the university and its students.
