The House of Lords is the upper house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, which comprises the Sovereign, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The latter are officially referred to as The Right Honourable Lords Spiritual and Temporal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament Assembled and commonly referred to merely as the Lords.
