This work is a comprehensive comparative study of the essential features of current German and European private international law (PIL). The material covered is divided into three parts (called "books"), (covering choice of law in all the different areas of private law), (dealing with the principles and theories underlying PIL) and (containing an exposition on international civil procedure as far as it relates to PIL).
