Abstract

In hierdie artikel word daar gekyk na die bundel van Johann de Lange wat oorspronklik deel was van die bundel . Daar word gelet op die komplekse genderpolitiek in hierdie verse en uitgewys dat lesers se tegniese besware eerder 'n morele probleem verhul. Die tekste dwing die leser om verby die oppervlak te delf en die tekste as emblema van dieperliggende wonde te sien. Die digter is in sy van die minnaar op soek na die afwesige vader wat hom deur die dood versaak het. Relevante psigoanalitiese tekste word betrek en die invloed van hierdie bundel op 'n jonger digter geëvalueer.


This article explores by Johann de Lange, a volume of poems originally part of . The complex gender politics of these poems is examined to highlight the fact that readers' criticism of technical aspects very often disguises a moral dilemma. These poems force the reader to go beyond the surface to reveal the texts as emblematic of more deeply seated wounds. In the lover the poet seeks the absent father who abandoned him by dying.
