Many conditions are diagnosable primarily on the ECG. <br>More than 100 years of clinical and pathological information have been incorporated. <br>Systematic analysis must complement pattern recognition. <br>The keys to arrhythmia diagnosis are:<ul> <li>Regularity <li>Rate <li>QRS <ul><li>Width <li>Pattern, if wide (typical bundle branch block, or not).</ul> <li>P waves <ul><li>Slower rhythms <li>Narrow QRS tachycardias</ul> <p>Repeat ECG and/or refer to old ECGs for further information / confirmation. <br>Despite their usefulness, ECGs should be interpreted in the light of clinical information.
