oa South African Journal of Sports Medicine - Coincidental mishap clinically documented: Dynamic ECG monitoring during high speed racing crash

Abstract

Dynamic (Holter monitor) electrocardiography is a most useful non-invasive diagnostic aid in cardiovascular disease. Its foremost use is in the evaluation of cardiac arrhythmias and their correlation with various symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, syncope, and chest pain. Holter monitoring is also of value in assessing the normal physiological response to stress.
