The sportsman is inclined to believe that skin infections are minor health problems, and frequently fails to realise that even a minor skin infection, either bacterial or fungal, may make him more susceptible to an overwhelming secondary infection, which can be disabling. Additionally, skin infections can interfere with the individualï¿½s physical performance and may affect the whole team.
