The object of this study is to determine whether the ingestion of stimulants (fencamfamine) enhances the accuracy and consistency of shot reproduction in cricket batting. Thirteen young elite or potentially elite cricket players were recruited for the study. An instrumented cricket bat measured the exact impact locations of 60 deliveries for each of the players in the randomised cross-over design under the experimental and control conditions. In addition, the coach subjectively rated each stroke as good or bad.
