The aim of the study was to obtain test-retest indications on the Standardised Assessment of Concussion (SAC) screening test and the verbal fluency tasks in a South African non-concussed rugby-playing population. A second aim was the preliminary application of these test-retest data to one concussed player. All investigations were carried out at the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. The study utilised a longitudinal quasi-experimental design on a group of self selected rugby players from various rugby teams in Gauteng.
