It has been suggested by Professor Fearon that in order to lessen the number of bottles of reagent used, the glacial acetic acid might conveniently be added to the alcoholic solution of amidopyrin in the first instance. About 4 c.c. Of glacial acetic acid added to 100 c.c. of 5 per cent. amidopyrin in alcohol would thus be one stock reagent, and 10 vols. strength hydrogen peroxide the other.
