oa South African Medical Journal - Reduced dosage of M & B 693 in the treatment of pneumonia in African natives

It would appear from this investigation that pneumonia in the African native responds to a smaller average total quantity per case than has been generally employed for Europeans. Avoiding high initial doses and giving 1gm. of M & B 693 at four- or six-hourly intervals throughout the pyrexial period and until the temperature has neen normal for 12 hours appears to be ample treatment for the African native.
