Abstract

As in all other injuries, haemorrhage and shock should be dealt with at the first instance in head injuries. Lumbar puncture not done as a routine in head injury. Not much more is gained as a rule in routine use than can be found from a clinical examination and ill-effects may be produced from its too free use.
