The occurrence of the sewage filter fly (Psychoda) at sewage works and the characteristics of the fly are descriptionbed. Thirteen cases of bronchial asthma (2 Europeans and 11 Natives) suspected of being etiologically related to Psychoda sensitivity were investigated at a sewage works in the Transvaal.
