oa South African Medical Journal - The role of radium application in the nasopharynx



A method of removing lymphoid tissue in the nasopharynx, by means of a nasopharyngeal radium applicator, is descriptionbed. Good results are obtained in cases of deafness due to eustachian obstruction, recurrent otitis media and bronchial allergy. Application of radium by this method is free from harm if the correct technique is followed.
