The cure by X-ray therapy of a severe case of thyrotrophic exophthalmos that had failed to respond to medical treatment is recorded. The opinion is expressed that acute cases of thyrotrophic exophthalmos are likely to respond well to X-ray treatment of the pituitary.
A case of acute toluene poisoning is descriptionbed. Some of the signs and symptoms and the pathology of toluene poisoning are reviewed and compared with benzene poisoning. Views on factory hygiene in relation to toluene and benzene poisoning are expressed.
