A case is descriptionbed of a European sufferer from asthma caused by the inhalation during his work of kejaat wood (Pterocarpus angolensis). A relatively few injections of extract of kejaat wood produced rapid relief to the patient and further injections maintained him in an asthma-free condition in spite of the fact that his working conditions with kejaat wood remained unchanged. Judging from this case of wood sensitivity and another local case previously descriptionbed it appears that, with the therapeutic use of specific desensitizing wood extracts, the prognosis in cases of asthma due to the inhalation of wood dust is very good.
