oa South African Medical Journal - Nodular dermal allergides : H. Gougerot's trisymptomatic disease

Abstract

Three cases of nodular dermal allergides (H. Gougerot's Trisymptomatic Disease), illustrating most of the clinical and histological features of the disease, are descriptionbed. The basis of the condition is an allergic capillaritis; but the cause, probably microbic, has not been established. The disease has many clinical points of resemblance to some other allergic diseases of the blood vessels, notably polyarteritis nodosa, but the histological picture of capillaritis will usually clarify the diagnosis.
