Abstract

Historic Survey: The term acrodynia was introduced in 1828 in French and English literature for the medieval 'itching disease' (ergotismus) and other acropathies (Raynaud's disease, erythromelalgia, l'acrocyanose des jeunes filles, chilblains, mal rosso-old name for pellagra).
