oa South African Medical Journal - Meningo-encephalitis due to Coxsackie B virus in Southern Rhodesia



During the summer of 1953/54 a number of cases of meningo-encephalitis were admitted to the City Hospital, Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. Some were sent to hospital with a provisional diagnosis of poliomyelitis, in others the involvement of the central nervous system was suspected to be a complication of glandular fever.
