Abstract

It would be premature to say too much on the results of this limited survey, since Harare Hospital is an urban hospital with a preponderance of townsmen, yet there can be no doubt that they indicate that diabetes mellitus cannot be said to be an urban disease, or indeed that it is the circumstance of urbanization which has led to an increase in the incidence of diabetes.
