oa South African Medical Journal - Industrial deafness and the summed evoked potential

Abstract

The summed evoked potential relies entirely on objective measurement of a physiological response to auditory stimulation, and, given the right methods, with strict adherence to the necessary parameters of this test, the result is reliable evidence of the patient's auditory threshold and can be a useful adjunct to the assessment of hearing loss in industry.
