oa South African Medical Journal - The effects of unilateral non-dominant and vertex electro-convulsive therapy on non-verbal learning



It was predicted that ECT applied to the vertex would cause less impairment of non-verbal learning than unilateral ECT to the non-dominant hemisphere. Learning tests were carried out before and 2 days after 3 ECT treatments given on alternate days, 7 patients receiving vertex ECT and 10 unilateral.
