oa South African Medical Journal - Effect of fenfluramine on alcohol and saccharin consumption in the rat

 

Abstract

Single intraperitoneal injections of fenfluramine (20 mg/kg) and p-chlorophenylalanine (20J mg/kg) induce lasting aversion to both ethanol (6%) and saccharin (0,25%), when given after rats were first given a drinking test with these solutions.
