We relate our financial experience in establishing in Pretoria during the period June 1965 to August 1972, the Pretoria and District Liaison Committee, later replaced by the Northern Transvaal Branch of the National Cancer Association of South Africa, with a view to founding the first Home-from-Home or Interim Home in the Republic at Pretoria, for housing 10 needy ambulant cancer patients, who are receiving active cancer therapy as outpatients at the H. F. Verwoerd Hospital, about 1 km away.
