Abstract

The cephalosporins are broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotics which are active against a number of common pathogens including streptococci, pneumococci, staphylococci including penicillinase-producers, gonococci, E. coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiellae, and Treponema pallidum.
