Abstract

Thirty-six consecutive patients who had undergone major surgery were carefully studied for 6 hours postoperatively in an attempt to evaluate the relative analgesic and respiratory-depressant effect of morphine, ketamine, and placebo administered by continuous intravenous infusion.
