oa South African Medical Journal - Results of the failure to perform adequate preclinical studies before administrating new drugs to humans

 

Abstract

Based on previous catastrophic experience due to concurrent human therapy and animal assay, a plea is made that new drugs should not be administered to humans until appropriate and adequate animal studies have been completed and evaluated.
