Abstract

Three hundred and ten patients with chronic destructive pneumonia (COP), a necrotizing pneumonia probably caused by aerobic and anaerobic bacterial synergism, were treated with cephalosporins (80 of these with cephalosporins, penicillin and metronidazole).
