The plains zebra Equus burchelli antiquorum H. Smith, 1841 is one of the most numerous ungulate species in the Etosha National Park and it's migratory patterns and seasonal movements have never been fully understood. In order to clarify the sometimes confusing migrations a number of zebra were captured with drugs and marked with neckbands so that more definite information couId be obtained
