Twenty-seven archaeological sites were located in the Fish River Canyon during a survey in June 1981. The presence of Pleitocene (Early and Middle Stone Age) artefacts was noted at nine locations and more recent settlement remains at a further eighteen. The location of these sites is indicated and their associations and distribution are discussed.
