The Chestnut Weaver Ploceus rubiginosus is a poorIy known species, which migrates southward to breed as far south as Windhoek. To date, however, its breeding cycle has not been studied in detail. Its apearance and disapperance are erratic, but may be linked to the equally unpredictable rainfall of this region.
