Innovation and commercialisation processes play a crucial role in introducing new products to the market. Empirical evidence shows that there are many steps to follow to commercialise an invention. However, only 30 percent of the surveyed innovators indicated that they know what the steps of the innovation and commercialisation process are and many did not follow the steps as stated in the theory.
