After an absence of five years, Duvenage re-joined Avis in 2006 as Operations Director and in 2007 was appointed as the Managing Director. His return to the sector started when he took up the position of General Manager at SAVRALA (Southern African Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association) in 2003. As GM he represented the car rental industry within various Government, transport and tourism bodies. In 2006 the opportunity arose for a return to Avis, where he had worked for 17 years until 2001.
