Abstract

Collagenous Gastritis is a rare gastrointestinal disease. It is described in children and young adults and is clinically characterised by abdominal pain and severe anaemia. Histologically it is characterised by an irregular thickening of the subepithelial collagen layer. More than 30 cases have been described in the literature from around the world. We describe the first case that we are aware of from Africa.
