n South African Gastroenterology Review - Genital Crohn's disease : case report

We report on the rare entitiy of metastatic Crohn's disease (MCD) in a 38-year-old male who was diagnosed with luminal disease at age 18 in Germany. Previous therapy included surgical intervention in the form of a small bowel resection with a temporary stoma as well as maintenance medical therapy with Salazapyrine. Multiple doses of steroids were given in between for acute flares. He stopped all treatment on his own account about 15 years ago. His last colonoscopy in 2008 was reported as normal.
