CASE REPORT Obstetrics & Gynaecology Forum - 28 Omental teratoma in supernumerary ovary, in a pregnancy complicated by pre-eclampsia and HIV Twenty-five case reports of omental teratomas associated with gynaecological or surgical conditions have been found during an electronic data search. We report here an interesting and unusual case of an omental teratoma diagnosed during pregnancy, which was also complicated by pre-eclampsia and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. The pre-eclampsia and HIV infection are incidental findings, and there is no evidence in the literature to support any association between teratomas, HIV and pre-eclampsia.
