EDITORIAL Southern African Journal of Anaesthesia & Analgesia - July 2004 1 Editorial This edition of the SAJAA contains a variety of articles on anaesthesia and anaesthesia-related topics, such as pain and ambulatory analgesia. Our regular contributor, Adrian Bosenberg, draws our attention to Fanconi's Anaemia, an inherited disorder with an astoundingly high incidence in South Africa, with a heterozygote frequency of 1 in 83. Ambulatory analgesia during labour is given a very practical flavour by our obstetric anaesthesiologist collegue from California, Professor Krzysztof Kuczkowski.
