oa Southern African Journal of Anaesthesia and Analgesia - Anaesthesia in a child with Rubenstein-Taybi syndrome : case study
We report on the anaesthetic management of a child with Rubenstein-Taybi syndrome who required eye surgery. This is a rare congenital syndrome characterised by severe learning difficulties, cardiac abnormalities, gastrooesophageal reflux and craniofacial abnormalities, e.g. microganathia and a small mouth. There is the possibility of a difficult intubation.
