Newly appointed group executive of SABC Commercial Enterprises, Gab Mampone, has a large portfolio covering 23 brands across radio and television. His responsibilities include the development and implementation of effective marketing, pricing and revenue generating strategies; providing strategic leadership to ensure financial sustainability and market growth for SABC brands; and to provide strategic vision to synergise and integrate all revenue generating pillars to achieve returns in a highly competitive market. A member of the International Marketing Forum, Mampone is a graduate of Wits University and has two postgraduate qualifications from the Wits Business School. He also has an MBA from De Montforte University. The Journal of Marketing spoke to Mampone about the future of the SABC.
