Based on the permission by the Director of Vaal District Health Services on 21st of May 2001 and on Ethical Clearance given by the Committee for Research on Human Subjects (Medical) of the University of the Witwatersrand (Clearance certificates # M00/2/33 and M00/07/13) our Division has started field research in public dental clinics in Vaal.
